Expressive Acts in Euphoria Special Episode Part 1: Trouble Don’t Last Always

The research identifies the type of expressive acts uttered by characters in a special episode entitled Euphoria Part 1: Rue – Trouble Don’t Last Always and implements Norrick theory to analyze data. Then, designs activity qualitative method which shapes how report analysis would be descriptively. In collecting data, appropriates Observational non-participation technique Sudaryanto. On other hand, analyzing Pragmatic Identity Method Matching found 26 utterances identified completely types acts; (2) apologizing, (1) thanking, congratulating, (4) condoling, (5) deploring, (8) lamenting, welcoming, forgiving, boasting. Lamenting is most frequent act as central story where main character shared their sorrow regret friend.
